How to increase the number of comments on your blog

There is nothing nicer than viewing your blog and seeing that a lot of people have made comments on it.Im going to discuss ways in which you can increase the number of comments on a blog

Changing the commenting system to a simple one:
Sometimes readers don’t have the time to be logging in their blogger account and verify before the can make a comment. Take me for an example if I have to go through all those procedures to make a comment, I just return to the blog, read other posts and kapish. To remedy this you can change the commenting system and use Haloscan, allow anonymous commets on your blog

Provoking commets from readers

While I was visiting BlogHer this other time, before I left the blog I saw a picture of an Old angry women with the message “commenting wont kill you” I found it so funny that I did something that won’t kill me: I made a comment.
Here is how you can provoke comments:

Give Free Advertising: You can do this by telling readers to “please provide their URL in the comment section if they have a similar post”

Ask questions: You can also provoke comments by asking questions at the end of each post.

Thats it for now i'll be back :-)

If you have more suggestion leave a comment and url

Text ads Vs Image ads

Last year June I decided to have image only ads on my blog with the hope that they would make me more money that the conventional text ads on adsense. The reason I had this notion was because I thought that the more visible the ads the more clicks they would generate.

I placed the ads on the sidebar of the blog and after a couple of weeks my predictions were correct, my CTR (amounts of clicks) did rise. I thought wow; this is great, than I looked at the payout for the ads, trust me I wasn’t very pleased. The ads paid +- 60% less than the text ads. To be sure about my conclusion I did some research around a couple of forums, and other publishers were complaining about the low payouts of image ads.

My conclusion is that: when selecting the types of ads you want appearing on your blog, select text only ads and not text and image ads.

“Rather an ad that pays you 30cents for one click than an image ad that pays you 10 cents for a 100 clicks

N.b I am aware that google
[here] promises that image ads will perform well but that’s in future and we might not know when. So for now let’s work with the present times

I clicked on my own ads what now!!

Google adsense prohibits publishers from clicking on their own ads for any reasons. But it some times happens that publishers (bloggers) click on their own ads accidentally when they are customizing their blogs.

I also did this once, when I was a beginner on adsense and I was scared as hell that Google will terminate my adsense account. If this has happened to you by mistake of cause here is what you should do:

Send an email to Google adsense support or to the email address that was used ti inform you that you have been accepted to adsense, telling them of the accidental click. Provide them with the URL of the advert that you have clicked on and also provide them with your blog/site's URL. By doing this you will not be kicked out of adsense

N.b clicking on your own once will not automatically get your account disqualified from adsense.

Naughty Idea

After doing this you can for curiosity sake check how much the advertisement was worth. Now do not do this on purpose

One blog Vs Many Blogs

Although having more than one blog for making money , might sound like a good idea and the fact is-that most bloggers who are making money from blogging have more than five blogs , there are things to consider when doing this.It takes a lot knowledge+ skill and a lot of time if you want your blog to be successful.

Time: A lot of time will be needed to frequently update your all your blogs and also to make all of them interesting. That is why those bloggers who are making money pay people to write for them, but this should not discourage any blogger: you can do it but it will be at a slow rate.

Knowledge+Skill: Increasing Blog traffic, Increasing Click through Rate ,writing good posts, multi tasking, link building, increasing PR(page rank). If you are going to have a lot of blogs the skills that I have made mention of must be mastered and I shall tell you why later.

Having One blog

If you have been in the blogging game for less than a year it is advisable not to have more than one blog that you use to make money from. At this point depending on what you know and the experience you have in creating a successful blog that makes money, it is better to first have a blog that you use to gain blogging experience and the skills mentioned above.
Once you have the skills and experience and your first blog is successful in making a good income, and also has loyal readers and good PR, you are now ready to start your blog chain and all you have to do is to: maintain all your blogs. The advantage of having skill and experience: is that it will be much easier and will take less time to get your other blogs to the top because all you have to do is to apply what you know to those blogs so that they can be successful like your first.
N.b one blog at a time

Advice

If you already have an idea for a new blog project create the blog now and get it indexed on Google and just leave it there and concentrate on your first blog.Make sure you add a paragraph or two on it once a month , to stay indexed on Google. By the time you are ready to start working on it, it will be out of the Google sandbox.

Other Alternatives

If having too many blogs is not your thing or you feel that it might be too much stress than just create categories on your blog if you using blogger beta. The advantage here is that you’ll be providing something to read to lots of people.

Why Bloggers are poor

Bloggers who participate in adsense complain that they don’t make a lot of money or no money at all on adsense. Most bloggers have given up on trying making money from blogging and adsense.I’m about to tell you why bloggers are failing to make money on adsense and this should not come as a shock.

Why

There are two main reasons why bloggers don’t make money from blogging and adsense.

1 Adsense

2. Blogger (Blogspot)

I’m sure if you reading this post you are thinking to yourself how? Well this is because all these services are free, this eliminates risk and if risk is eliminated motivation is eliminated and laziness also develops. Bloggers (blog entrepreneurs in this case) don’t put their best in their blogs because they know in the end they won’t loose anything if their goals are not met.

Imagine if an agency fee of $60 had to be paid to adsense on a monthly basis and a hosting fee of $12 had to be paid to blogger.com.This will make bloggers work hard to make their blogs a success and to meet set goals. If bloggers had to pay for the currently free services they would go out of their way to get and increase Traffic, Increase CTR and optimize their blogs for Search Engines and adsense.so what can you do.

What to do?

A remedy that I suggest to this problem would be to: Tell yourself when ever you blogging that every month end you have to pay an agency fee to Adsense of $60 and a hosting fee of $ 15 to blogger. The reason for this is to make bloggers give their best when blogging for money and also to unleash the best skills in them.

Final word

You owe Google money it’s due at the end of the month. (Giggle!!!)

See you next post please leave a comment.

Are you a blog-entrepreneur?

Many factors contribute to the success of money making blog example traffic, seo etc but the primary factor is the blogger himself. The success of the blog depends on your input in it. Once a blogger pursues and explores the possibilities of making money from blogging, he or she falls under what can be termed as blog- entrepreneurship. The difference between an ordinary entrepreneur and a blog-entrepreneurship is that a blog-entrepreneur has minimal risk to take or no risk at all because most of the resources that are used by bloggers are free, example adsense, and blogger-blogspot which is an advantage that a bloggers pursuing the possibilities of making money have.

Like an ordinary entrepreneur a blog entrepreneur must develop certain characteristics which are:

Opportunities seeking

He must always look for new ways to make money from blogging or to increase his or her blog profits. This can be done by researching, new money making programs that are free and easy to use and can be implemented to blogging.

Patient

When trying to make money from anything, well in this case making money from blog, patience is the key to a successful money making bloggger (Blog-entrepreneur).Making money from blogging is a process that takes a very long time and if you in it for a quick buck well this is not for you. Many bloggers out there believe ; after exploring the possibilities of making money from blogging that this is impossible, the reason they say this is because they expect to much, too soon which results in quieting or failure. I used to be in the same position before I learned this valuable trait which is called patience.

Setting realistic goals

Certain goals must be set by the blog entrepreneur, and a time for realizing these goals must be specified.Writting these goals down and pasting them on a place where you see them everyday like your desktop is even much better. The goals must be realistic; an unrealistic goal would be to expect your blog to make $6 a day, while it only has an average on 8 readers a day. When setting a goal the blogger must identify factors or impediments that might affect the set goal and try to find solutions to those factors.

Wayne Hurlbert states that "A plan of action is required or the business blog is destined to fail"

Innovative

Try doing things differently from your competitors if you have those by introducing something new and useful to the online or blog community that deals with your topic. This means that you shouldn’t become a “Me too Blog” meaning I write about the same thing too No! What ever you do, add something different with the objective of increasing blog profits. This innovation must be in line or work towards the goals that are to be achieved.

Motivated and Determined

A strong desire to take the blog to new heights must be developed by the blogger , giving up should never cross the mind of a the blog-entrepreneur because you have nothing to loose, most of the thing are provided to you free what more could you ask for. The only thing that should be on the blog entrepreneur mind is success, sucess, and success. Putting less time and effort to a blog won't help in trying to make a blog a succes.

That’s all folks please make a comment it won't hurt
