How to increase the number of comments on your blog

There is nothing nicer than viewing your blog and seeing that a lot of people have made comments on it.Im going to discuss ways in which you can increase the number of comments on a blog

Changing the commenting system to a simple one:
Sometimes readers don’t have the time to be logging in their blogger account and verify before the can make a comment. Take me for an example if I have to go through all those procedures to make a comment, I just return to the blog, read other posts and kapish. To remedy this you can change the commenting system and use Haloscan, allow anonymous commets on your blog

Provoking commets from readers

While I was visiting BlogHer this other time, before I left the blog I saw a picture of an Old angry women with the message “commenting wont kill you” I found it so funny that I did something that won’t kill me: I made a comment.
Here is how you can provoke comments:

Give Free Advertising: You can do this by telling readers to “please provide their URL in the comment section if they have a similar post”

Ask questions: You can also provoke comments by asking questions at the end of each post.

Thats it for now i'll be back :-)

If you have more suggestion leave a comment and url

Text ads Vs Image ads

Last year June I decided to have image only ads on my blog with the hope that they would make me more money that the conventional text ads on adsense. The reason I had this notion was because I thought that the more visible the ads the more clicks they would generate.

I placed the ads on the sidebar of the blog and after a couple of weeks my predictions were correct, my CTR (amounts of clicks) did rise. I thought wow; this is great, than I looked at the payout for the ads, trust me I wasn’t very pleased. The ads paid +- 60% less than the text ads. To be sure about my conclusion I did some research around a couple of forums, and other publishers were complaining about the low payouts of image ads.

My conclusion is that: when selecting the types of ads you want appearing on your blog, select text only ads and not text and image ads.

“Rather an ad that pays you 30cents for one click than an image ad that pays you 10 cents for a 100 clicks

N.b I am aware that google
[here] promises that image ads will perform well but that’s in future and we might not know when. So for now let’s work with the present times

I clicked on my own ads what now!!

Google adsense prohibits publishers from clicking on their own ads for any reasons. But it some times happens that publishers (bloggers) click on their own ads accidentally when they are customizing their blogs.

I also did this once, when I was a beginner on adsense and I was scared as hell that Google will terminate my adsense account. If this has happened to you by mistake of cause here is what you should do:

Send an email to Google adsense support or to the email address that was used ti inform you that you have been accepted to adsense, telling them of the accidental click. Provide them with the URL of the advert that you have clicked on and also provide them with your blog/site's URL. By doing this you will not be kicked out of adsense

N.b clicking on your own once will not automatically get your account disqualified from adsense.

Naughty Idea

After doing this you can for curiosity sake check how much the advertisement was worth. Now do not do this on purpose

How to make money from blogging

Introduction

If you got to this site by an invite or search engines-I trust that you have a blog if you don’t, Get 1 its easy to sign up and its free.First I would like to mention that this is not a scam like all the other scams on the net about making money.
This is an easy step by step guide on how you can earn money with a blog and Google; with no sign up fee no hidden costs all free yap free.

Making money with Google

Google has a program out that is called Google AdSense that started + - two years ago.Google uses this program to advertise for other websites by placing relevant ads on other websites or blogs. The advertises pay Google and that’s how Google gets revenue.
Google then pays some of the revenue to the websites in which the ads were placed .When you open a website, sometimes you see words written ads by Google on the site these are the ads.

How it works

These ads are called pay per click and this is how it works, lets say you have a blog and you apply for a Google AdSense Account and Google accepts your application , it takes 1-2 day for the application to be accepted ,you are than given the Ads a.k.a (ad words) to place on your blog\website and after placing them on your blog-if someone visits the blog and clicks on the ads you get paid, but if you click on your own ads Google will cancel your Account.
You can only get your money when you have made $100 by cheque which will be sent to you via mail. The ads that are placed are relevant to what you write on your blog, if you are writing about animals, ads relevant to that will be placed. Now how much you get paid per click is a Google secrete

Google Account Details

Any one in the world can apply and get this chance to make money with Google by placing relevant Ads on websites or blogs. All you have to do is meet Google’s criteria and requirements this does not mean your blog has to be fancy or your must be a computer wiz no!!!.
All this means is that your blog must not contain copyright material, pornography, and things that are illegal and offensive. If your Account is rejected you will be told why and what to do to fix it. Google actually needs you so it can also make money. Join adsense now its free(catergories)

How much can be made

This depends on your traffic(visitors) to your site and how many clicks on your Ads.If you have enough people clicking on your Ads you might make up to $20000 a month or more there are some people out there making $3000 a day. But usually you can make $600 a month with a lot off traffic.

Golden Rule

If you thinking of clicking on your own ads or using proxies and click bots to make money Google will find out and your account will be terminated, remember that Google has one of the most powerful computers in the world.
So the golden rule is that don’t click on your own ads. All you have to do is to generate traffic to your blog and keep updating your blog. Now that you know about ad sense what are you waiting for sign up for your account.

How and Where to place the ads

Where to place the ads and how

After you have signed up for adsense and your account has be approved you must now implement the ads in the blog. This will depend on which blogger account you on, beta or the normal blogger.com one. For both I shall provide solutions on where you can place the ads.

Ad placement on Blogger.com not Beta

Many bloggers have written about ad placements so I shall provide links to their blogs, for different ad placement styles. It is not because I’m lazy to do it myself but I feel that these bloggers should also get a fair share of traffic to their blog for the work they have done in developing these tactics.

Ads on the sidebar (Recommended)

This trick comes from blogger help, this allows you to place ads on the sidebar, and the wide sky crapper format is highly recommended in this case Here is the link.

Ads in the middle or inside the post (Highly Recommended)

Placing ads inside the post is very advantageous and most blogger recommend it for making money purposes. More clicks are generated from ads in the middle of the post which means more money. My advice is that you use the Rectangular or Square format; other formats will make your sidebar appear at the bottom of the blog more thing is that you should change the number of post that appear on the main page to 1 here is the link
for doing this. The link for placing ads inside the post is this one here..

Placing the ads at the end of each post

The ads will appear at the end of each and every post you make, this is good because after your reader is done reading the whole page he/she will see the ads at the end of the page. Here is the link

Frequently asked Questions

Q.Can I use all the placement styles at once.

A. Yes provided that you don’t have three ad units per page, which is why I recommend one post on the main page.

Ad placement on beta

For those who are using Beta the only reasonable place you can put adsense is the sidebar. This is one of the things that blogger.beta needs to correct this limitation means less or no clicks and we all know what’s the result of that; NO MONEY!! Yap.anyways here is the link on how to do this >>>>>>

What makes people click on the ads

In order to make more money from blogging one has to know, what really makes people click on those ads? I have been doing some research on this and found the following reasons why people click on those adsense ads.

Why people Click on those Ads

  • People click on those ads when the website or blog is boring and there is little information. Now this does not mean if you a bloggers you should create boring blogs with little info, its better having a visitor click on those ads more than once than clicking once and never coming back. For this reason bloggers should not build sites for adsense, but build sites with a lot of information and content.

  • Most people click on those adsense ads , if the ads provide them with information they might use. This is the most common reason.
This does not mean if you provide your visitors with a lot of information they wont click on your ads, Remember one thing you can never provide all the info on a specific topic, you can find adverts that might provide the same info but slightly different making visitors click on those ads
  • Although this might sound strange some people don’t know why they click on those ads and they also don’t know that they are actually clicking on ads.
Take me for an example before I knew about adsense i use to click on those ads but now I don’t click on them that often, only if I’m stranded. So the trick is for bloggers is to blend the ads to look like the blog or site.
  • People who know about adsense often click on other bloggers site to support them; if they feel that they have been provided with good information. You can call this a donation if you may.

Now that we know some of the reasons why people click on those ads its time to find the reasons why they don’t and their feelings towards those ads.

Why people don’t click on those Ads Ad sense

  • The first is irrelevance, if those ads aren't relevant to the topic they might not be clicked on. I used the word might because this is not always the case.
Lets say you were looking for an answer or solution to a certain need or problem you had, a couple of weeks or months back and you didn’t find it and out of the blue you spot an ad that provides a solution but on a website that talks about a different thing wouldn’t you click on the ad?
  • Some feel that the ads only want to sell something to them, when for instance they looking for information and not a product.
  • Some feel that the ads don’t provide them with enough information. The reason for this might be past encounters with ads that don’t provide information but only provide more ads.

Other pay per click programs

Adsense Vs Other Pay Per Click Programs
Using other Pay Per Click programs is one of the thing i think about all the time. The question thatcomes to mind is whether these Pay Per Click Programs are better than adsense.
If you thinking of trying out other Pay Per click Programs you better look at the advantages and dis advantages of the other progams compared to adsense.

Adbrite Vs Adsense
In this case adsense pays more than adbrite this is reported by webmasters who have tested Adbrite.Adbrite also does not provide relevant ads which might decrease the CTR meaning less clicks , less money as compared to adsense which provide a lot of relevant ads.
The only thing that is great about adbrite is that you get paid after you have maid $10 aren't like Adsense's $100 .The winner in this Pay Per Click battle is adsense you can use adbrite if you have been banned from adsense.

Kontera Vs Adsense

The greatest thing about Kontera is the relevant ads they provide, ads on kontera are place in the text itself example lets say you want ads on the word domain to appear you simply choose that word and every time the mouse cursor passes that word , An ad about domains apprears these are called in-text ads the ads are bright and lovely.

When it comes to the pay out Adsense still pays more that Kontera but the nice thing is that you can use both of them at the same time , this can increase your earning.Take note that Kontera is limited to some countries while adsense is international that another thing that is good about adsense.

Clickarea Vs Adsens

Click area pays way less compared to adsense i would advise bloggers to opt for adsense in this case.

Bidclix Vs Adsense

In this case some webmasters have reported low earning with bidclix and the generation of irrelavant ads so in this case adsense wins

Yahoo YPN Vs Adsense

Publishers using yahoo have reported a good pay with yahoo ypn. This might be because the ypn program is still in BETA so we dont know the future but my guess is that their pay outs will be higher than adsense.

The disadvantage with ypn is that the program is limited to some countries but there have been talks about it going international soon.

High paying adwords the truth

Highest paying adword, truth and Liars , Tools To Use

Every time we see sites on the internet that are providing a list of highest paying adword, high paying keywords that claim to pay $80 per click. This means that if two people click on these High paying adwords or keywords, Google will have your check in no time. The first time I saw this, I was amazed and I said to myself I got to write topics about those high paying keywords Inoder to make a quick buck.

I went on to research this and , the more I searched for these high paying keywords, the more I started to recognize a pattern, the keywords list was from one source but on different blogs and sites, than I heard some bloggers and webmasters complaining that these keywords don’t even pay 10% of what they claimed to pay.

The first thing that came to mind was-Why didn’t I ask myself where these people got these High paying adword, because Google does not allow the publication of how much a person Can make per click. If this was true the publishers of the highest paying adwords were going to face a law suit.

The list is as follows:

$54.33 mesothelioma lawyers

$47.79 what is mesothelioma

$47.72 peritoneal mesothelioma

$47.25 consolidate loans

$47.16 refinancing mortgage

$45.55 tax attorney

$41.22 mesothelioma

$38.86 car accident lawyer

$38.68 ameriquest mortgage

$38.03 mortgage refinance

$37.55 refinancing

$35.99 auto accident attorney

$35.52 equity mortgage

$34.34 mesothelioma texas

$34.05 mortgages

$33.80 criminal defense attorney

$33.54 epocrates

$32.95 mesothelioma

$32.08 car accident attorney

$31.60 mortgage refinance rate

$31.38 loan refinance

$31.29 personal injury attorney

$31.24 best refinance

$30.14 register domain names

$29.86 medical malpractice lawyer

$29.68 incorporate

$29.68 malignant mesothelioma

$29.49 mortgage refinance

$29.45 freecreditreport

$29.41 fargo refinance

$28.53 mortgage loans

The pricing differ with other sites but still the same outcome liars

Why:

Can you believe the pay outs; well it’s a lie a very big hoax. One thing I will tell you about why this list was put up was and still is to get backlinks and traffic, no other reason. Even if this was true how many people read about these topics? You’ll have to commit click fraud for you to make money.

The Truth about Highest paying adwords:

High paying adwords do exist but not to this extreme and its hard to find them , there is a tool you can use to predict them.

Highest Paying Adword prediction Tool:

Keyword Tool

To estimate which keyword pays more than there other using this tool enter E.G acne, than a list of acne related terms will emerge E.G acne treatment , acne products etc, than enter a random price you’ll pay if you were an advertiser.

After this you will see which term is likely to pay more in terms of acne maybe it will be acne treatment. This does not give the exact price per click but rather the value of the word.
Word of advice stick to topics you know best
